Saturday, December 7th, 2013 – EARLY SHOW!
The Make-Out Room
3225 22nd St (at Mission)
San Francisco, CA 94110
Doors: 5:00 PM
First band: 6:00 PM
Ends by 10:00 PM
The Freeks – Led by Ruben Romano (founding member of Fu Manchu and Nebula) and supported by Hari Hassin on drums (Roadsaw), Tom Davies on bass (Nebula), Esteban Chavez on keys, and Jonathan Hall on guitar (Angry Samoans, Backbiter), the Freeks deliver raw, unrefined, screaming fuzzed psychedelic rock’n’roll music that is dream bent with tension and laced with Full On passion.
Hot Lunch – Ex-Parchaman Farm frontman Eric Shea assembled a band comprising guitarist Aaron Nudelman (Mensclub), drummer Rob Alper (SLA, The Fells) and bass player Charlie Karr (Harold Ray Live In Concert). With vintage refrigerator sized tube amps and Rob’s double-kick setup, these four men were soon channeling their love for Grand Funk Railroad, Hawkwind, Lobby Loyde, Misfits, Crushed Butler, Alice Cooper, Blue Cheer, Rush, early 1980s skate punk, UFO, Ace Frehley, Gedo, Sir Lord Baltimore, and Chuck Berry. But the dudes also shared a lusty hunger for noontime meals served piping hot, which led to one of the most clever, well thought-out and originally conceptualized monikers in the entire history of all music: Hot Lunch.
Harderships – Members of Earthless, Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound, and Zen Guerrilla
Ethan Miller – frontman from various Bay Area bands such as Comets on Fire, Howlin Rain, and Feral Ohms
In addition to the live music, Dead Kennedys founder Jello Biafra will be DJ’ing the event!
Diesel Fuel Printing has donated sticker printing to help out with the benefit! Now available: 4″ die cut sticker with Alan Forbes design.
